Motivation is the willingness to do something or something that causes such willingness, according to the Cambridge Dictionary. Another definition is a reason or reasons for acting in a particular way (Oxford Dictionary).
Dealing with pain is not easy and requires much dedication to persevere and do what you must to forge ahead for the betterment of your future. If you do not motivate yourself to press forward to a brighter outlook on life then who will.
One of my favorite quotes comes from poet Audre Lorde is “If I didn’t define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people’s fantasies for me and eaten alive.”
No matter what you are faced with, and regardless of the pain that you are feeling, life goes on. Motivational speaker, Les Brown says, “If you fall, fall on your back. If you can look up, you can get up.” So I say “get up” to all the chronic pain sufferers that are being consumed by their disorders. “Get up” and take a stand to be a Better You. The only way to accomplish this is to Motivate you as motivation is the key.
